Your collection, wantlist, photos, grades, notes and purchase prices are stored on your iPhone and in your own iCloud account. Alexarix Limited cannot read them.
Barcode reading, text recognition and cover matching all run on the device using Apple's Vision framework. Camera frames are never uploaded. When a match needs catalogue data, only the extracted search terms — a barcode, a catalogue number, or an artist and title — are sent to our lookup service.
The lookup service at wax.alexarix.com receives those search terms and caches the catalogue responses so repeated lookups are fast and consistent. It does not receive an account, a name, an email address or a device identifier, and request logs are not used to build a profile.
Catalogue and marketplace data come from Discogs and MusicBrainz. Subscription status is handled by Adapty and Apple. Crash reports, if you leave them enabled, go to Firebase Crashlytics.
